An Evening of Benefit & Bliss: 15th Anniversary Party Fundraiser: Nov 8, 2014

Please join us to celebrate KMC Maryland’s 15th anniversary by enjoying party fundraiser with a delicious meal lovingly prepared by our World Peace Cafe Team, live entertainment, kids activities, and a special presentation on the history of KMC Maryland. At this special fundraising event there will also be silent auction items and raffle prizes where all proceeds will go to completing the shrine cabinet with glass panels, which will protect the sacred statues inside.

This will be an enjoyable event for families & friends. Please bring one, two, or more people along with you!

We will have two live performances including Jan Seiden and the Baxter Duo.

jan_seidenJan Seiden, a 2-time nominee for the Indian Summer Music Awards, will be playing at our Fundraiser event! Immediately captivating, Jan’s soulful eloquence and exceptional technique transport listeners to a healing, inner tranquil state. Ms. Seiden’s music carries messages of global unity, peace and personal empowerment to federal agencies and to international humanitarian conferences and indigenous gatherings throughout the U.S. and Canada. For more information about Jan Seiden and her music visit her website at

Baxter Duo – David and Sarah Baxter met teaching music lessons in the Boston area.  They discovered their affinity for each other in 1996 playing duets for seemingly unlikely combinations like violin and trumpet, and viola and flugelhorn. David and Sarah continue to revel in making music together, melding many styles to create expressive music that is at turns energizing and comforting. They especially enjoy performing Sarah’s compositions.

The event is held in celebration of International Temples Day, which is celebrated by Kadampa Buddhists worldwide. The International Temples Project is what has made the KMC Maryland Temple & Gardens for World Peace possible. Currently, they are helping new temple project in the Southwest and other parts of the US and the world. Learn more about this special day and the International Temple’s Project (ITP).
