Amitayus is the Buddha of long life, good fortune, and wisdom.
Saturday, Sept. 27th & Sunday, Sept. 28th 2014
During this special Dharma weekend, Gen Kelsang Chogden will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Amitayus, inspiring our mind with positive energy. She will also teach & guide blissful guided meditations to strengthen our own and others’ life-span, increase our good fortune, and enrich our lives with a transformative wisdom. Everyone is welcome!
Why do we need a long life? Our human life is precious, rare, and immensely meaningful. We have the freedom, necessary conditions, and opportunity to engage in spiritual paths, which alone lead to everlasting happiness. By using our human life to accomplish spiritual realizations it becomes immensely meaningful. In this way, we can actualize our full potential and progress from he state of an ordinary, ignorant being to that of a fully enlightened being, the highest of all beings; and when we have done this we shall have the power to benefit all living beings without exception. What could be more meaningful than this?
