Annapolis Workshop: Dealing with Criticism: Sep 26, 2015

Dealing with Criticism Annapolis Workshop

Sat. September 26, 2015 @ 10am – 1pm

Do you get upset and defensive when you are criticized? Do you dread receiving or giving evaluations at work? If so, this is the workshop for you.  We will explore different types of criticism and our various responses to these forms of criticism.  We will learn from a Buddhist perspective how to respond constructively to criticism and also how to give useful feedback to others.

The skill of dealing with, and eventually embracing criticism is useful in all aspects of our life. From work, to home, to our relationships, everyone is a critic! So what do we do when we are criticized? We have two options: take it constructively and act on it to improve our selves or the situation, or, become angry and resentful towards others. One of these responses leads to happiness and the other to conflict. This workshop will focus on practical tools and specific meditations that can help us transform our minds so we can take all criticism with a light and happy mind.

Cost: $25. $20 for students, seniors 60+, unemployed and if registered by 9/23. Free for Student Level Members.

Pre-Registration is now closed, but walk-ins are welcome!
