After-Work Meditation

Mondays with Laura Charping & Wednesdays with Sharon Praissman Fisher

@ 6pm – 6:30pm 

Take a break after a long day and de-stress from work with a simple meditation class. This class is great for beginners. The class will consist of a brief introductory talk and a guided meditation to calm and center yourself and let go of the worries from the day. Everyone is welcome!

Cost: $6 for everyone

You can also become a member starting at $40/month and receive discounts while you help to provide a steady level of support for our activities.

lauraLaura Charping began studying Kadampa Buddhism five years ago and has volunteered for the center in various capacities, including bookkeeping and class assistant.  She has a background in human resources, communications and training, and is currently a student of our Foundation Program in Baltimore.  She is excited to lead an after-work meditation class, bringing her wit and sensitivity and providing practical applications to our busy lives.

Fisher has been a practicing Buddhist for over a decade.  She is currently a member of the Foundation Program.  She is also a wife, mother, nurse practitioner, business owner, and author.  She loves helping people integrate Buddhist teachings in their daily life to manage stress,  anxiety, and pain.
