Expand your ability to love – City Retreat with Gen Kelsang Chogden

Take a break from your busy city life by engaging in meditation retreat.  Give yourself the gift of meditating on expanding your ability to love and have compassion for others.  

Relax between sessions in the comfortable setting of the World Peace Temple, Cafe, and Gardens.  Come for ½ day, a full day (lunch included), or the entire event.  

Gen-Chogden-for-webGen Kelsang Chogden will guide the retreat and meditations. Gen Chogden is an American Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland. Her compassionate activities of teaching, guiding, and inspiring those around her are the result of her deep faith, clear wisdom, and heartfelt concern for others. Gen Chogden has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 18 years under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s guidance, and brings true sincerity and humility to her life as a spiritual teacher.

Price:

$90 for entire event (Sat, Sun, Mon)– $80 for the early registration (by Aug 30th), students, seniors 60+, or unemployed.  Lunch included Sat & Sun.

$40 for a full day (Saturday or Sunday)– $35 for early registration (by Aug 30th), students, seniors 60+, or unemployed.  Lunch included.

$25 for a half day– $20 for early registration (by Aug 30th), students, seniors 60+, or unemployed

Free for Student and Benefactor level members (lunch not included)

Session times:

Part 1: 10 – 11am, 11:45am – 12:45pm

Part 2: 2 – 3pm, 3:45 – 5pm (Heart Jewel prayer with last session)

Mon: 10 – 11am, 11:45am – 12:45pm
