Tuesdays In Columbia

This meditation class in Columbia is held at the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center, a friendly and welcoming space that is centrally located in the town of Columbia. We meet in room 400 which is easily accessible after entering the building.

Inspiring Solutions for Challenging Times

When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the mind. If we were to respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind, they would not be problems for us; indeed, we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development. Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind.

Making Our Life Meaningful

With our human life we can attain both temporary protection and eventually permanent protection from suffering by sincerely putting Buddha’s teachings into practice in our daily life. Because these attainments are non-deceptive and ultimate states of happiness they are the real meaning of human life.
