Tuesdays In Columbia

This meditation class in Columbia is held at the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center, a friendly and welcoming space that is centrally located in the town of Columbia. We meet in room 400 which is easily accessible after entering the building.

Breaking Bad Habits  The weeks of October 16 through November 20

Our unpeaceful states of mind that cause us to suffer and perform harmful actions are just bad mental habits, and like all habits they can be broken. Just as it is possible to separate mud from water, so it is possible to eliminate all of our bad habits from our mind, then there is nothing that can disturb our inner peace and joy.

  • Oct 16            Seeing the Good instead of the Bad
  • Oct 23            Put an End to Craving

Increasing Our Good Qualities The weeks of November 27 through December 18

The holidays provide many opportunities to practice patience as well as expanding our love and compassion. We can learn methods to respond to both the difficulties and joys with a happy, peaceful mind and share these good qualities with everyone we encounter. This will make our holidays and relationships more meaningful.
