Protection from Suffering: Practicing Purification, Sat June 6th, 10am-5pm

Livestreaming Sat June 6th, 10am-5pm

Through the kindness of Vajrasattva, the Buddha of Purification, we have the opportunity to overcome our negative karma by sincerely applying the four opponent powers. In this retreat, you will gain experience in applying these powers, and by doing so, begin to remove both the causes of future suffering and obstacles to the spiritual path. Through purifying your mind of negativity you will gradually become happier and happier.

One of the simplest and most powerful purification practices is the meditation and recitation of Buddha Vajrasattva, which will be the practice emphasized in this retreat.

In Modern Buddhism, Geshe Kelsang says, ‘Purification is the supreme method to prevent future suffering and to remove obstacles to our Dharma practice. It makes our actions pure so that we ourselves become pure.’
