Stages of the Path Retreat: Universal Compassion, Sat. Sept. 1st & Sun. Sept 2nd, 10AM – 5PM
Take a break from your busy life by engaging in guided meditation retreat.
In this retreat, we will be meditating on aspects of Training the Mind in Seven Points, a teaching given by the Great Meditation Master Geshe Chekowa. This training teaches us how to expand our ability to keep a happy mind all the time, regardless of our circumstances, and to develop love and compassion for everyone.
Relax between sessions in the comfortable setting of the World Peace Temple, café, and gardens. Lunch is included with full-day or entire-event registration.
Walk-ins also welcome, but lunch availability is only guaranteed for those who have pre-registered.
FULL WEEKEND COST: $75 for entire event — $65 for early registration (by Aug 25th), students, seniors 60+, or unemployed.
ONE DAY COST: $45 for a full day (Saturday or Sunday)– $35 for early registration (by Aug 25th), students, seniors 60+, or unemployed.
HALF DAY COST: $25 for a half day– $20 for early registration (by Aug 25th), students, seniors 60+, or unemployed.

DAILY SCHEDULE: Part 1: 10 – 11am, 11:45am – 12:45pm; Part 2: 2 – 3pm, 3:45 – 5pm (Heart Jewel prayers with last session)
This retreat is also a great way for those who are joining or continuing the Foundation Program to begin their study of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s commentary to this practice, “Universal Compassion”, because that is the book which will be used for this retreat and is the next book being studied in the Foundation Program class.
