FRIDAY NIGHT On-Line PUBLIC TALK: “Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life”
Friday Aug 21st, 7-8pm (recording will be available for 1 week)
Despite our intelligence and material progress, life is more dangerous, complex, and stressful. We haven’t fundamentally fixed our problems, nor have we found personal or collective peace. It’s time to question and transform our approach to life, what matters and how to find happiness.
Learning from the past by reclaiming the wisdom of those gone before us and applying this wisdom to our present and future, we can find the path to greater happiness. In Kadampa Buddhism, which was founded in the 10th century by the great Buddhist Master Atisha, we find a timeless and universal set of spiritual teachings. These teachings are incredibly clear, practical, and relevant for everyone. Perfect for those new to Buddhism, this talk and meditation will offer inspiring and enlightening ancient wisdom for how to live a peaceful, wise, and compassionate life in our modern world.
Join us in learning how to transform your life into a spiritual path. Everyone is welcome!

On-Line WEEKEND RETREAT: “A Blessing of Peace”
Saturday & Sunday Aug 22nd & 23rd (recordings will be available for 1 week)
Green Tara is an enlightened goddess of wisdom and beloved by many. As a protector of the great master Atisha, she guided him throughout his life eventually leading him to Tibet in the 10th century, where he founded the Kadampa Buddhist tradition. “Atisha” means “peace.” He was known for his calm manner and especially practical teachings, which are concise yet contain the full depth of everything Buddha taught.
Drawing on teachings from the recent Kadampa Summer Festival, on this special retreat you will learn about Green Tara, practice her meditation and mantra recitation, and receive practical and transformative spiritual advice that comes from Master Atisha. We invite everyone — Buddhist or not, beginner or not —  to benefit from this special weekend of guided meditation, inspiring advice and spiritual blessings for your life.
