A wrist mala is a string of beads used to count prayers or mantra recitations and prostrations. For Buddhist practitioners, a mala is a precious and meaningful sacred object.
Kelsang Gyaltsen, who is very skilled in many types of Buddhist art, will give instruction on how to make wrist malas and will help you to make two so that you can give one away. You can choose your beads from Gyaltsen’s fabulous selection or bring some of your own. He will also explain how to use a mala to count mantras, Buddha’s sacred speech.
