World Peace Cafe Baltimore – About Us

A Cafe Dedicated to Peace

Notice:  The Cafe is Temporarily Closed.

World Peace Cafes are grassroots developments initiated by Kadampa Buddhist communities around the world.  All the cafes are bound by the same purpose- to help increase peace in the world. All profits are given to the International Temples Project, a Kadampa Buddhist project dedicated to world peace. That’s why we’re called the ‘World Peace Café!’

About Our Cafe

We serve vegetarian and vegan food that is both delicious and healthy.

We hope to create a positive and relaxing environment where people can delight in a peaceful setting, delicious food, and good company.  Everyone is welcome here.

“Only by creating peace within our own mind and helping others to do the same can we hope to achieve peace in this world.” — Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Transform Your Life

The World Peace Cafe relies on volunteers to support its operation- from kitchen staff, to servers, to cleaners. For us, even a small amount of time or support is most precious.
