We understand that meditation and mindfulness create peace in individuals’ minds. When our minds are at peace we improve our decision-making, use wisdom in our actions and communicate more effectively. We learn to let go of the anxiety that arises with our life challenges. We know that through this proven method, individuals with peaceful minds create more peaceful communities, and more peaceful communities create a more peaceful world.

Your donation allows Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland to be a source of strength and peace in an unsettled world. Our temple’s managers and resident teachers, like at other Kadampa temples, receive room, board, and a $300 stipend per month. All levels of leadership receive the same. We do our work because we believe that we can be of benefit to all beings. We know that as we help those in our community find a peaceful mind, they create a strong ripple of hope for a more peaceful world.
