Volunteer: Share your time and skills

Come and find out about volunteering at Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland, a non-profit charity working for world peace.  All of the Kadampa Meditation Centers around the world are volunteer-run organizations that function to help the people of the local area spiritually. Volunteering at the Center is such a rewarding and meaningful activity, as the Center itself exists to benefit all living beings! And it is a great way to meet other people involved with the Center.

We need help in various areas. So regardless of your time constraints or abilities, there are plenty of opportunities to help.

Attend a class or event

Attending a class is a great way to find out what Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland is all about and to meet people in our community.  Additionally, all fees collected from classes and events go towards improvements and operating expenses, helping us directly better the Temple.

Share the news

Share the news of World Peace Temple with your friends & family. Tell them all about the World Peace Temple in Baltimore!

Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland is run entirely by volunteers who want to help offer peace and happiness to the people of Maryland and beyond. Because of this, 100% of the donations go directly to the daily running and maintenance of the center and branches. As a nonprofit organization, fees for classes are our primary source of income.

Make prayers and dedications

Through Kadampa Temples flourishing throughout the world, more and more people will receive the blessings of inner peace, and through the development of inner peace in the hearts of individuals, outer peace will naturally arise within society. May everything we do to help and support the development of these Temples be the cause of lasting peace in this world for this and all future generations.

“The main function of a Temple is that those who see it or develop faith in it will receive special blessings.

Whoever sees a Temple or an image of Buddha will receive the blessings of Buddha. There is no difference with regard to Buddhists and non-Buddhists – anyone, whenever they see an image of Buddha, or a Temple, will receive blessings.

Therefore I can say that from my side, or from our side, this is the best public benefit or public service.”
